Switzerland 2010 Circus 140c

In 2010, Geneva will be a world circus capital. The city with its hallmark “jet d’eau” fountain is hosting “World Circus Geneva 2010″ with its wealth of cultural happenings, all revolving around the circus.
Performances, exhibits, workshops, special-edition wine and chocolate, even the new Swiss stamp are being rolled out over a 12-month timeframe.
Imagine a region’s Big Annual Events suddenly including a circus theme. In Geneva, Switzerland, that’s the Lake Parade in July, the fire-works-capped extravaganza called Fêtes de Genève in August, and the Russin Wine Harvest Festival in September.
Then World Circus Takes Place in 2010 For the Second Time‘’Some 485,000 visitors from around the world attended the first World Circus Year in 1987 in Lausanne [Switzerland],’’ says Youri Messen-Jaschin, Action Committee CEO and driving force behind the event and they expect 2010 to be much better.
